RT @jjsalmo: @Padsky SM has made it evidentially worse, opinions become facts, facts are debunked. Charlatans eg Hannan, Farage, Reform Ltd….

Has politics always been this shitty in UK (ex NI)? Or was the last year's of 90s Tory through Blair / Brown / Coalition an aberration? Is the ability to whip up an army of faceless trolls on here empowering base instincts? As a comms advisor feels like through looking glass.

There's an immediate challenge to this. All those people that say "it's just a cough" or "it's just an ache" and "i dobt want to burden the NHS" and. stage 4 cancer, months to live.

My son Aidan is 25% Irish. British in behaviour and upbringing. But POM is his favourite player because he's an aspiring 6, because he recognises POM's skill & grit. And because like me, we might be british, but we love Munster Rugby and for many years, POM embodied Munster. SUAF.

We are lucky to be able to watch Bumrah. He's an artist. A scary one. #cricket. Joins the fast bowling pantheon in my life; countless Windies (5 at least maybe more) 3 Pak. 1 SA. Now 1 Indian.

Mainstream media bias against the Right is rife in news provision. But the insidious drip-drip of national self-loathing is even worse in fiction. So we end up with the new dramatisation of the lives of the Mitford sisters in which there’s a demonstration against Churchill that.

My boy aidan took another 3 wickets for @beddocc tonight. 2 matches in a row and now has 20% of all wickets for u13 this year. Proud dad. #cricket not fastest but loads of movement and guts.

After a great WTC #cricket final last week, realised how much i was looking forward to this morning. Hope it's going to be a great battle between two talented but imperfect sides. #ENGvIND.

(4) conclusion. There's going to be a lot more of this and if you complain at best you'll be labeled naive (you just don't understand how it is) or PNG for alleged racism / colonialism. Love your work.

(3) trump analogy instructive. Previously leadership would avoid this comms - it wasn't thought of as effective, they didn't want to be ridiculed and didn't want to look like, say, Arms dealer Said or oil barron khodorkovsky. Now? Authoritarians are envied as they get shit done.

In many regions I've worked around including GCC / FSU central & South Asia, this is classic "great man" leadership positioning. It's expected by the leader and those around him and if you don't provide it, you're fired, or briefed against by the leader's fixers = the same. (2).

An interesting macro economic and fiscal perspective on Ireland. A country I care about but cannot pretend to know or understand. The big question is what is Ireland doing with the revenues and how is planning going for lower tax revenue scenarios?.

In recent years Ireland has seen its GDP balloon for reasons unrelated to what its workforce is up to. The country’s unexpected fortune stems from global tax-shifting

Our last ever sparring session? He's too big now, there's not enough space so we have to trade and I can't hit him as it's considered bad form to beat your kid up. #boxing #fatherhood
