I see many people speaking up against canceling fall sports. Don't stop fighting for your kids. Yes, I'm taking a stance. We've had 100s of 1000s playing sports all summer. throngs of parents at events. no huge statewide surge, only local. We CAN do this, for the kids. Iowa did.

House Bill 2787, the bill to allow SCHOOLS to decide crowd sizes, has passed the house. It now goes to Senate. they need 2/3 to override a wolf veto. light up the phones folks.

BOOOM!!!!!! The School Board at Altoona Area School District just passed 33% (3,400 people) capacity for this weeks home opener football game. If all goes well it will be 50% (5,200) capacity next week.

Now the bad, apparently I had a mild heart attack last night. I am fine. They put a couple stents in my heart today. I go home tomorrow. While I won’t be able to attend scrimmages this weekend, I will see you next weekend on the sideline somewhere. Again I am fine. #Blame2020.

If we're going to take away sports because online, be honest & stop lying to the kids. 18 & Under PER CDC: .0 = # of deaths in PA; .19 = # deaths nationwide, all previously ill;.>1%= # of hospitalizations .The Flu 2018/19 ESTIMATES: 8 MILLION ill, 46K hospitalized, 477 deaths.
During yesterday's briefing, Dr. Bogen shared info about common characteristics identified by case investigators among new cases. This information helps ACHD determine whether mitigation measures are appropriate/needed. The chart covers data from the last six weeks.

Our advice to schools thinking of delaying winter sports: DON'T!! Get as much as you can in now. Based on fall experience, you will be glad you did. Give yourself wiggle room to finish as much as you can.

Friday Wolf said hes working on reasonable crowd solution. Last night @AltoonaAthletic decided they had enough and voted to approve a 25% crowd no matter what. many others, including @GSSpartanSports have done same. No matter what happens today, schools need to unite & fight.
