So many close calls for the Big Sky this week. I’ll have my thoughts in blog form and more on the first week of the season come Monday but plenty of positives to draw from a quite competitive week of buy games for the league.

A marathon of an opening day of college hoops that started in Rock Hill, SC and will presumably end in Seattle, Washington. About 17 hours straight of non stop basketball. It doesn’t touch the golden years of the 24 hour marathon, though. Let’s just bring it back fully next year.

Via CBS Sports research: Koa Peat is the first player since at least '02-03 (and maybe the only player ever) with 30+ points, 5+ rebs, 5+ asts and 3+ stls in their collegiate debut. And he did it against the third-ranked reigning national champs with their entire frontcourt back.
