“Leaders” need to lead. Be proactive . Complete lock down search of the prison . Nobody goes anywhere. Rid the place of illicit items . Control unlock numbers . Thorough searches of everyone entering no mattar how long it takes . Targeted drug tests .

The prison population continues to rise despite all these get out of jail quick schemes. If we do not reduce the population and allow us to do our job then ultimately we will all suffer. We have to do things better.

No one can doubt that the POA are a very effective trade union. In recent years:.- PAVA.- Tasers.- Sentencing for assaults.- Annual pay rises . All lobbied and succeeded.
