Made a similar tool a few thousand years ago for
@unity
to move objects under the cursor by pressing the hotkey and can't live without it since then. Mine also could be manually switched to snap with Y up or Z up (Z up is useful for decals for example)
Just finished the initial art pass for level 4 of the demo (out of 5). Nothing cool to share yet, unfortunately, because the lighting is not properly set up. Feels good to finally wrap things up into something that actually starts to feel like a real video game...
Made a simple gizmo tool that draws white lines to show who's listening to the selected object's unity events and draws blue lines to all other objects that trigger the selected one in any way. It's like 'ent_messages_draw' from Source but in the editor. Handy stuff.

Switched from trying to get things done completely in Unity to partially making levels in Blender. Turned out it's so much easier to handle all the 9999 tons of vertices and meshes in a proper 3d modeling tool. Who would have thought...

Good news everyone!
I've finished "vomit" iteration of DEMO and started first normal one. There could be new screenshots and gifs as soon as something in the game starts to look nice.
Sometimes I'm trying to sort out the legacy working folders on my PC and in the process usually find some strange stuff. Here for example single file in the folder called "concept art" dated the years 2019-2020.
