Really not much more to say than the Sabres did themselves last night. Thompson- “We get too high on ourselves. We think we’re better than we are.” Samuelsson- “Maybe too many guys are passengers.” Ruff- “I think some of our guys wanted it easy, and it wasn’t going to be easy.”

I roomed with Ryker at a summer camp with @BartlettHockey in my playing days. He was easily the most impressive puck handler I’d ever seen and I believe he was 13 years old at the time. I was worried he’d be too small, but at 6’1 190, I was WRONG. Keep an eye out for this kid!

I’m sorry but this stuff just does not help. Every time the team makes a comment like this, all it does is ratchet the negativity up. It’s a feedback loop that the Sabres seem to be COMMITTED to keeping.

I believe the direction of the Sabres season will be decided on their upcoming 4 game road trip. If you go 0-4 or 1-3 you likely find yourself in a hole in a TIGHT Eastern Conference that you are gonna have a hard time digging out of.
