🎂Happy 10th anniversary to @NorthumbriaOrth PROMs Programme! 🎂.10 years ago I started this journey with #PROMs .This does not include hip/knee arthroplasty & we don't collect on every procedure, but 19k patients are monitored and our surgeons have data to assess outcomes.

Last non-arthroplasty knee session of the day - patellofemoral pain, investigation and management. Again, good use of #PROMs data - though often using different ones. Standardisation would be the dream.

I do thoroughly recommend that anyone collecting, analysing and/or using #PROMs in clinical practice should try to attend medical/surgical conferences which cover that specialty. Key to understanding what matters to patients AND clinicians. #data #clinical #informatics.

Day two of the Great North Debate in Leeds and I'm enjoying a rare opportunity to focus on ACLR - techniques, tips, instructional videos and updates in practice. Great to see #PROMs too!

Day 1 of the Great North Debate almost over. Great afternoon session on #PJI providing an overview of the subject. Abtin Alvand @oxfordkneegroup discussed DAIR, @timpetheram gave a comprehensive update on @BAJIR_UK & Mike Petrie explained 1 stage, 2 stage age 1.5 stage revision

And to end this excellent session, @ajaymalviya update us on PAO which patients often say it's a life changing procedure!

Hints and tips on hip arthroscopy by Max Fehily. Lots of informative videos - making it all look easy!

Nice to see Ben Van Duren here, updating is on what we know and don't know about hip arthroscopy and FAI. He even included outcomes and #PROMs 😊
