A lot has changed. Before putting this together, I looked through my gallery to see what I was up to in May last year. Funny enough, the things that occupied my thoughts back then don’t even matter anymore. And now, I have a fresh set of worries,. 1/x

I feel deeply fulfilled by the personal milestones I was able to achieve in June. Beyond the official duties, this month reminded me of how much I’ve grown –both as a leader and as an individual. I’m grateful to God for holding my hands throughout this journey. END.

In response, I reached out to the school management to address these issues. They acknowledged our concerns and have assured us that both matters will be treated as priorities moving forward. 9/x.

We faced 2 major challenges in June. First was the issue of transportation, which became even more pressing with the commencement of exams. Secondly, the difficulties students experienced accessing the portal during the elections. 8/x.

June was a packed month, with the majority deep in the elections and exams. I’m looking forward to handing over to my successor in the coming weeks. 7/x.

I also had the joy of actualizing a long-held goal: installing a First Aid Box at the college hostel after successfully raising funds for it. I hope this act becomes a tradition that future administrations will sustain. 6/x

The major highlight of this month was the commencement of our capital project at both the college & main campus. I’m particularly excited about seeing it take shape and, more importantly, about how functional and beneficial it will be for students real soon. 5/x

Later in the month, I attended the Distinguished Personality Lecture, where the guest speaker, Prof. Attahiru Jega, gave a talk on the political economy of livestock development in Nigeria. I was particularly intrigued by the reforms he shared & I hope they are implemented. 4/x

I also attended the biopic of Prof. N.M. Abdulraheem, the Dean of the Faculty of Law and someone I deeply admire. Watching her life story unfold in the form of a stage play was inspiring! It gave a glimpse into the trials & triumph that have defined her journey. 3/x

My month started with attending the Students’ Union Leadership and Empowerment Summit, where I had the opportunity to connect with fellow student leaders and engage in insightful conversations. It was a timely reminder of how far we’ve come as a a union. 2/x

It’s kind of surreal knowing this is the last monthly recap I’ll be writing during my tenure. 11 months really flew by! 😅. I’m grateful for every bit of it. Here’s how June went 👇🏽. 1/x

I had planned an X Space in commemoration of World Sickle Cell Day, but due to the timing, it couldn’t hold. While that’s disappointing, today is still an important opportunity to remind you to know your genotype and double check it before making long-term relationship decisions.

As June approaches and my tenure gradually comes to an end, I’m turning my focus to the legacy I want to leave behind, solidifying the initiatives I championed when I took office and preparing for the next chapter ahead. It’s been an incredible journey! . Till June. End.

Speaking of public health, I’m still reeling from what my team and I accomplished in April. Coordinating a medical outreach across 3 locations simultaneously (the first of its kind) and providing free healthcare to over a thousand students was nothing short of phenomenal. 19/x.

All in all, May was a truly engaging month. I started off with exams, then dove straight into my community health posting. The experience has been nothing short of amazing and has only deepened my passion for public health. 18/x
