One more important thing to consider is how do we even know our Data is skewed or not. So, we can use Seaborn's displot, Q - Q Plot and a few other methods. As far as I know, Q - Q is quite widely used in this task.

There are other Advanced ones as well which include Box - Cox Method and Yeo - Johnson Method. Will write about them in future as well.

Other transforms also include methods like Reciprocal Transforms, Sqrt Transforms and Square Transforms. Reciprocal inverts the data points, sqrt takes the square root and Square does x*x for each data point with Square transform being beneficial when working with left skewed dat.

A few methods that I know of Log Transforms which are beneficial when working with Right Skewed data. Log transform basically means to data take each data point and apply log transform to it to convert the right skewness into a normal distribution with equidistant points.

So what Statisticians, Data Scientists or MLEs try to do is convert any other form of distribution into Normal Distribtuion. There are many good reasons to consider doing this with the primary one being the understanding and calculations with data becomes ridiculously intuitive.

Preprocessing is a very crucial tasks in Data Science. Transformations are a key role player in that. We have so much of data in this world and not every data follows the same distribution. Some might follow Normal Distribution, some may follow Poisson, etc etc.
