More hospitals do matter when whole communities still donāt have one. The issue isnāt building less, itās making sure the ones we build are properly staffed, equipped, and accessible. Access + quality go hand in hand, not one or the other.
For the record, more hospitals don't equate to better healthcare. If I ever become governor of Akwa ibom state, I will actively close down some hospitals like the near moribund one just outside of my village that people hardly ever go to but cost billions to construct.
