I work in LTC insurance and have for nearly 2 decades. There are carriers that have been issuing coverage to people as young as 18 for as long as I can remember. Some carriers start at age 25, some 50. Ideally, the younger you can apply, the more likely it is you’d be approved
@EigenGender @loveactuary A couple years back LTC insurance became required in Washington State (either buy private or you'd be opted in to a state tax) At the time you couldn't even buy LTC insurance unless you were over 50. A couple companies scrambled to temporarily lower it, was a huge mess.

My theory on why it’s difficult for those of us in our 30s to date people who are younger than us is that we had fundamentally different childhoods. We grew up living in the real world where we built connections in person and then the internet came along and shit went sideways.
