Ming Campbell was a dedicated public servant and a true Liberal giant. His principled leadership opposing the Iraq War was a mark of his morality, courage and wisdom. But more than that, he was an incredibly warm and caring friend and colleague. We will miss him terribly.

Agree 💯! We have submitted endless requests to the BBC to ditch this highly partisan take on the news. BBC remains a trusted news organisation it shouldn't need to rely on the papers for that purpose. Many of those same papers think the BBC shouldn't exist.
After 50-yrs I've finally had it with the Today prog. It's not the presenters; it's the papers review which is now unlistenable because (inevitably given market share) it's dominated by headlines from increasingly hyperbolic, obsessive titles, leaving me cursing in the shower.

At last, the Government has listened to the Liberal Democrats. Since 2022, we have been calling for Ofwat to be scrapped. But ministers must not stop here, and we will continue to hold them accountable. Britain now needs a new, effective regulator, to stop the sewage scandal.

Putin must be cheering as Reform pushes to kill cheap British renewables and keep us hooked on expensive fossil fuels. Backed properly, renewables are the key to cutting bills and strengthening our economy.
