It’s 100 days til Halloween. I woke up this cutie on my window, I had an amazing nature based interactive storytelling event where we made clay creatures AND a super cool kid taught me how to make origami moths. Pretty perfect day in the life of a spooky Children’s Librarian!

I cannot stress this enough; if your school doesn’t have a library USE YOUR PUBLIC LIBRARY SERVICE! . I’m begging schools to use our free resources, free info literacy lessons, free author & illustrator visits, free literacy rich spaces 🙏🏻. #Edutwitter #RfP #LibrariesChangeLives.
The decline in children's reading is not an inevitable thing. We can - and must - reverse it. Some suggestions:.1) More education around downsides of smartphones. 2) Smartphones restricted in schools. 3) Libraries in EVERY school, and relationships built between schools and local.
