Spotted brown patch in my tall fescue home lawn right after mention at TTT @TurfPathTodd. Recent rainfalls and high temperatures are likely contributing factors.

We are in need of ABW adults for a greenhouse research project. If you have good ABW populations but have not sprayed yet, we will be happy to mechanically remove some weevils from your course.

Forthysia near full green and Eastern redbud in full bloom, with 241 GDD in Columbus. Overwintered ABWs are about to pass peak densities in central OH. Sprayed our ABW adulticides last week in Cincinnati and yesterday in Columbus. Northern populations are behind but catching up.

Lazy ABWs! In soap flushing in Cincinnati area yesterday, 27 ABWs / sq ft in collar vs. zero on green edge about 1 ft inside, though they may move in later.

Eastern redbud is about to start blooming in Cincinnati and Columbus areas.

Visited 4 golf courses in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo areas in the past 3 days. It's amazing to see how climate differs in 2-3 hr driving, varying from 60s to 170s GDD (base 50F). Forthysia was half to near full bloom in northern OH and started leafing in south.

Suggest putting a hold on the adulticide sprays until ABW populations reach peak densities based on monitoring results.

Pitfalls traps were placed in the field prior to March 01. We started to see annual bluegrass weevils in traps on March 14 in Columbus and Cincinnati areas and on March 21 in the Cleveland area, about 1-2 weeks prior to full bloom of forthysia.
