Multiple studies now have demonstrated increased supply of primary care providers is associated with better patient outcomes and higher value care. Yet numbers of PCPs are dwindling...policy efforts to support increasing the PCP workforce are needed! @SocietyGIM @ACPinternists

My sister @twzoe is an amazing PCP, who’s leading an effort to unionize physicians to have a collective voice to advocate for more support in primary care, one of the toughest specialties in medicine #SGIM #proudtobeGIM #primarycare
The unionizing effort is part of a flurry of labor organizing by attending physicians and doctors in training at several large health systems in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
