And let coal power emissions rip in the 15-20 years it will take to deliver? — a fiendishly brilliant scheme to do nothing about decarbonisation for two decades well done
At CIS’s energy event with Chris Uhlmann, @QuixoticQuant, Helen Cook and Adi Paterson right now. If we want to implement an energy system that is reliable, sustainable and intergenerational, the only real solution is nuclear.

Seriously under-ventilated issue about our “cottage industry” approach to residential rental provision, it’s bad for rental security but also for the quality and energy efficiency of rental housing
Single-property landlords are terrible for rental security. If we want security of rental tenure, as they have in the US and Europe, we need to stop penalising institutional landlords.

A lovely tribute from Peter Martin
I was shocked to learn on reading @1petermartin's piece this morning that my friend Tim Colebatch had died. A gentleman and a scholar if ever there was one. His funeral was in Canberra today RIP Tim https://t.co/uTnEesUvur
