Since https://t.co/OSkOXeS8wa isn’t compatible with the latest version of GameMaker Studio, I put together some hacky custom code to deter piracy. Not sure how strong it is, but it should help block newer versions from getting ripped. Sharing so others can stay ahead.

Quick PSA for fellow indie devs: protect your games early, even if you don’t think they’ll be that popular. Nymble 2 got pirated and reuploaded with ads before I realized it. Simple domain checks aren’t enough — pirates move fast.
