In my experience at Apple, there’s a strong engineering culture of pushing to understand *why* a solution works.
At past companies I worked there was more of a “just get it working to ship” culture, which is ok too.
But I’ve found digging deeper ALWAYS pays off in the long run.

I took an entire month off from work.

I also started at Apple during the pandemic. The weather app was written in a matter of months with an entirely remote team, and I think you’d agree we did a damn good job delivering.
Sometimes culture needs to be redefined by new voices and new perspectives.
I was hired during the pandemic, the reason I considered joining again was because it was remote, I’ve delivered amazing results in the 6 months I’ve been here, that video really showed I’m not valued at all.
