Portions of the Cape Split trail will be briefly inaccessible today while we transport construction materials for the new trail system via helicopter. Please stay off the new trail system and follow the direction of signage and staff on site. #safetyfirst

Tune in to @CBCMaritimeNoon now for an update on what's happening at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site. The "front country" re-opens at noon today but the back-country campsites remain closed following Hurricane Dorian. There are thousands of trees down.

Point Pleasant Park will reopen to visitors at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14. Some sections of the park, in particular Prince of Wales Dr., Heather Rd. and the lower parking lot, will remain closed due to ongoing cleanup efforts.

Another hiking season at Taylor Head Prov. Park is underway with the entrance gate now open. The park officially opens May long weekend and until then limited services are avail. Enjoy! 🌲🌊

Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park is temporarily closed due to aggressive behavior by Moose. Always respect wildlife and give lots of space when encountering animals on trails.
