Reading folk are brilliant 👏 . I came from Manchester expecting the beer to be crazily expensive and the locals to be unfriendly. it's totally opposite. Love it down here.

Hertfordshire's @TringBrewery are a new one for me. This 4.7% Tea Kettle Stout is more than fit for service 👍. They even hold a yearly Toad Fest at their brewery 🐸

Exceptional day at Truck Festival. Watched loads of good acts today Wunderhorse (festival clearly curbed the volume) Kasabian, Fat Dog's crowd were f'ckin' mental. Pastel the highlight of the new blood, but so many others.

Enjoyable first evening of Truck Festival, all credit to @abouthisfeeling for their new band stage. The North (complete with female drummer 👍) and The Slates were both excellent. The future for our youth is on course again. In the local village pub on a breakfast Guinness.

My 1st pint down here, new Irish place Mc Caffertys Bar in Reading. only £4.50 a pint of Guinness in the right glass. Customer told me it used to be called the White Lion. Shocked how chatty everyonein here is, and that price beats Manchester Irish bars.

First pint on my Truck Festival jaunt. Wolf Brewery's - Sirius Dog Star 4.4% light pleasant tasting dark ale. Can understand why it won gold awards. May grab another while waiting for my train. I'd like to think it's named after Olaf Stapledons excellent Sirius novel.

Didn't watch the game tonight, been working. but I've got into women's football a little more recently I even take in the odd Man City game. Kelly's had a tough year leaving City due to the rift with the manager. Glad her and the lionesses are through to the final.
