Today is a very special day in the #OPCW - the hearing of the Director-Gen. candidates from 11 🌍countries and only one can lead the organisation to a better future with hopefully no chemical weapons. Great to see so many able, prepared candidates (especially the 1 from 🇭🇺)!😉

Numbers don't lie
With 33% female involvement, the GGE that will begin this year follows a trend in the right direction. In contrast, the 2019 GGE featured just 12%, or 3 women out of 24 experts. There were no female representatives at all at the 2012 GGE on Transparency & CBM in Outer Space.
