Pope Francis was a true inspiration and hope for people of all faiths, worked for peace and for the poorest and most vulnerable, and was a strong supporter of UN efforts. Humanity and humility I’ve learned from him will continue to guide my service for a “united human family”.
There is a “once in a lifetime moment” - I had such a moment today. Private audience with His Holiness Pope Francis @Pontifex gave me strength, inspiration & courage for our work for peace through disarmament efforts. His warmth, humility & love for people touched me deeply.

It was such a great privilege to attend the #NobelPrize award ceremony with 2024 Nobel Peace Prize laureate #NihonHidankyo. I sincerely congratulate Nihon Hidankyo for this prestigious award and continue to stand ready to support them in their advocacy for #nucleardisarmament.

On 5 Nov, @INakamitsu met with H.E. Mr. CHO Tae-yul, Minister of Foreign Affairs @MOFAkr_eng, during the 23rd #ROKUN Joint Conference on Disarmament and Nonproliferation Issues. They discussed regional and global disarmament, and ways to strengthen ROK-UN cooperation on security.
