Back in 2015 we did our best to get IPSO to listen to our concerns about harmful reporting on violence against women in the news. Weโre so on board with Level Upโs much needed campaign. Please lend them your support and sign and share their petition. Excellent work folks ๐
๐จSIGN AND SHARE!!๐จ Next week, we'll be going to the head office of @IpsoNews to deliver our public petition demanding stronger regulation on fatal domestic abuse reporting. Right now, it's at 25,228 signatures. Will you help us get to 30k? https://t.co/2hjQ0h6loY

โLondon streets are safe for women,โ say Met police after Sabina Nessa killing. No, they aren't. This is ignorant and insulting. It's outrageous. If we won't acknowledge the problem how will we tackle it? 77 women killed by men since Sarah Everard

Tn years after the Milly Dowler story broke and nine years after a major public inquiry found widespread abuse and malpractice among many UK newspapers. The press, aided by timid government, wriggled off the hook by promising a new self regulator. Look how effective itโs been.
There have been countless cases of discrimination, inaccuracy and abuse in the press. But despite press claims that @IPSONews would hold newspapers to account, it has failed to call a single investigation, or fine, in 7 years. Demand action. #IPSOZERO

You even appear to have added details to make it sound titillating! About the sexual abuse of a child?! Can you explain why please? @leicslive
Hi @LeicsLive_ we wondered if you could explain the irresponsible use of tone & language in this Mercury article?! This relates to the grooming & repeated rape of a 13 yr old child by an adult man. The language here normalises sexualisation and sexual abuse of children!

The police abuse the powers they already have - and yet the government plans to give them even more powers in the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill. This is dangerous. This will lead to even more state violence against women. This bill MUST be stopped.

Tonight we attempted to have a peaceful vigil to mourn Sarah Everard and protest all forms of gendered violence. The police were violent towards us and prevented us from mourning. So tomorrow, we will gather at New Scotland Yard, 4pm. Join us. #ReclaimTheseStreets
