In my historical thriller “Estranged” there is a character named Krishnachandra Mukherjee, based on Gopal Mukherjee. Anyone who wants to know what happened to his son Shankar and his grandson Nishad should pick up a copy of the book @GarudaPrakashan @vivekagnihotri.
In Kolkata, I was to inaugurate the statue of Direct Action Day hero Gopal Mukherjee. Due to state sponsored anarchy & threats, I wasn’t allowed out. The organisers came to hotel & I inaugurated his photo as a symbolic gesture. Hope someday I’ll be allowed to pay respect there.
