Incredible work of old school investigative journalism.
Three police officers went to an *elementary* school in Tennessee & arrested four Black girls. One girl fell to her knees. Another threw up. Police handcuffed the youngest, an 8 yo with pigtails. Their supposed crime? Watching some boys fight — and not stopping them. (THREAD).

The Texas government shouldn't be taking wealth generated from West Texas land and funneling it exclusively into universities outside of West Texas. That's not right. It's time to reform the Permanent University Fund.

Carol of the Lights is special to everyone here. I've been going since I was a child. I believe it's the only event each year that all of Lubbock is welcomed onto campus to participate. A beautiful tradition. Candlelight at the Ranching Heritage Center also shows the best of us.
The Carol of Lights is one of @TexasTech's most cherished traditions. Maybe it was because we missed getting together last year, but last night's event seemed especially beautiful and touching. Felt very blessed to be there with so many #TexasTech Red Raiders.

In 2016, the FDA approved folate supplementation into corn masa flour, a more commonly consumed flour in Hispanic populations. But it's not a mandate. The cost of including folate into corn masa processing is very low, but is still a cost. /3.

This has to be our approach in all aspects of life. We need to create opportunities so that our future doesn't have to move to the metroplex to realize their dreams. Our talent and resources shouldn't be on a conveyor belt to Dallas. #westtexas #ttu.
