Hi, could everyone stop sharing naked pictures of that man in the Bass Pro Shops?. He's clearly having an episode. He doesn't need that broadcasted to the entire world, complete with unending weird commentary on his body. Do you think he's capable of consent right now?.

Like, I see all these threads about how poor folks deserve small luxuries too, and poor folks have less time than rich folks, etc, but then a parent posts a grocery pic with pre packed goldfish crackers and it's a whole bunch of the same people qt-ing it with "skill issue".

The cost of groceries has risen astronomically this past year, and it doesn't really matter whether you're buying rice and veggies or pre made fried rice. (For a brief period last spring it was cheaper per ounce to buy the pre made.).

I find it weird every time I see one person posting a picture of expensive groceries and a whole bunch of others dunking on them about how it's all expensive stuff. (It's usually not.). Like, are we pretending grocery inflation isn't real? Or is only real for tech bros?.

I know it sounds like I'm being simplistic, but it genuinely doesn't get more complicated than that. A stock is an intangible asset, and having $100k in stocks =/= having $100k in cash.

We can only control that which is in front of us. And the work that we do in our households is important work, it keeps the world turning, keeps our communities going. Those tomatoes are important. They're a part of the whole.

There's this thing I do to deal with anxiety where I make myself accept that the killer *is* outside the window, and they *are* going to get me, but dammit I am not dying tired. It genuinely helps me sleep. This feels like the same thing. World is ending. But not w/o tomatoes.

Next time a TERF calls me a confused woman, I'm just going to send them a picture of a hole in the ground.
