At Grottaglie some composites for the KIZILELMA will also be produced. RID claims that by years end we should see the TB-3 being tested either on the Cavour or the Trieste.

First C2 Ariete tank was delievered to the Italian Army today, a ceremony was held. Unless later versions of this tank will have minor updates, the C3/CX may become a thing, since the Italian Army is interested in further upgrading the C2 Ariete.

Overall, this shows that 120mm calibre cannons are still here to stay, at least for a little while longer. The development of the new guided 120mm VULCANO munition will surely give platforms equipped with this cannon the edge over other vehicles.

So we know the cannon will show up on IMBT and might show up on the Ariete, RID also mentions the fact the A2CS 120, which is equipped with the Italian HITFACT MK2 turret can also use the new 120/55 cannon. This also theoretically means the Centauro II may also be able to use it.

In terms of use, RID claims the new 120/55 cannon will actually be installed on the new Italian MBT based on the Rheinmetall Panther, as of now we're looking at 82 of the 132 IMBT's which will be equipped with this new cannon, the other 50 will have the German L/55A1.

120mm guided VULCANO munitions for indirect fire would also be part of this possibile upgrade. Now we've seen the RWS, the new 120/55 cannon firing this new 120mm VULCANO munition, so its possibile that in the future these upgrades will actually show up on the Ariete.🔽

Some really cool news! Leonardo has just unveiled for the first time the new 120/55 cannon, which is able to fire guided VULCANO munitions, this was something which was first mentioned as part of an upgrade for the C3/CX Ariete, perhaps it will show up on the IMBT.

🇮🇹🇧🇷.Brazil is in talks to acquire Italy's Grifo/EMADS. Earlier this month a Brazilian Army delegation went to Rome to take a look at the CAMM-ER and other parts of the air defence system. Brazil in addition is also trying to market the KC-390 to Italy, so we'll see what happens.
