Local and statewide elections take place every year. VOTE. Federal elections occur every two years. VOTE. We have a humongous referendum coming up in November of 2026, and every two years afterward. If you want to avoid this mess: show up to the polls and make wise decisions.

The power of checks and balances ultimately lies in the hands of the electorate, not the elected. And by that, I mean the people who elect them. This is a reminder to vote every chance you get, and to remember what you’re risking when you do not. Look at what is happening today.

With one branch of government openly defying rulings of federal judges, illegally firing civil servants and independent watchdogs, and another afraid to say or oppose anything out of fear and threat of political repercussions, the constitution has never been more at risk.
