The Welland Fire Department has informed us that the fire at Humberstone has now been extinguished. The site will reopen tomorrow at 8 a.m. We appreciate the efforts of all fire departments and police in assisting with this incident.
Due to a fire on site, Humberstone Landfill in Welland is closed until further notice. We will share more updates as they become available.

Heads up, @NiagaraFalls! Lundy’s Lane (RR20) Hydro Canal Bridge North is down to a single lane from Royal Manor Drive to Brookfield Avenue on Oct. 10 and 14, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Expect delays. Use alternate routes. One lane each way will reopen over the long weekend (Oct. 11-13).
