If this ends up back at an Apple Store, assuming Apple hasn’t already reached out to get it directly, it becomes what’s called an EFFA capture or Early Field Failure Analysis. It would go back to engineering where they figure out what happened and attempt to resolve it.
iPhone 17 pro max oxidation saga continues. Basically this seems to be a batch with poor sealing coat after oxidising aluminium, resulting in phones to oxidise with time & change colour. But I'm sure this isnt a widespread issue or else more people would have faced it till now.
