Turning 30 today and this decade is going to bring some fun and interesting things real soon:. -Defending my PhD Thesis in a couple months.-Going back to med school in June.-Go to residency and learn how to be physician.

4 years ago on #ElectionDay , I was studying for Cardio, Pulm, Renal, and Path block exams that week (that was a fun time 😅). Now during #Election2024 I’m putting together my first solo first author manuscript. Times change and yet the stress and deadlines remain

Our @NeuroCellPress paper is finally out! We found a Bmal1-Bag3 axis in Astrocytes that is protective against Tau and Synuclein pathology! Check out the thread from fellow first-author @patwsheehan who spearheaded this awesome project.
Very happy to finally present my PhD paper in the Musiek lab where we find astrocyte activation via loss of Bmal1 abrogates intra-neuronal tau/synuclein pathology! We also find Bag3 upregulation in a cluster of astrocytes in human AD patients that resemble DAA astrocytes! 👇.
