Insomniac Venom is the most one dimensional the character has been since Web of Shadows.
He has no substance and no character. He's literally just a big scary monster who wants to take over the world, which Venom has literally NEVER been.
I loved the way venom was portrayed in spider-man 2. He wasn’t one dimensional like in the early 90’s, just angry and petty towards Spider-Man. He also didn’t have a comedic side like in newer comics or the Tom Hardy movies.
It was a fresh take on the character.

Some kid in my first grade class has this shirt and INSISTED that it wasn't from Spider-Man.
It's a core memory for me because it's the first time I realized that some people are just stupid.
I bought this exact shirt in 2007 for Spiderman 3 at Walmart. Crazy to think that this picture is the only piece of documentation of it being a thing. Shirt was dope af too. The symbiote segments had some sort of rubber texture to it, so I’d would always pick at it lol.

Pretty sure he already has. Spider-Man doesn’t have a single bad appearance in the MCU, and he certainly has more minutes of screen time. Tom is the definitive version of the character, and likely will be for some time.
