What got weaker after Shanks lost his arm 🤔 . His sword skills (fencing)?. His haki?.
@KirigayaShimo Reminder that you can either care for Shanks' relationship with Luffy or Shanks being stronger than Mihawk. If you want to claim Shanks is stronger than Mihawk, you'd be downplaying the base of the Shanks - Luffy relationship, Shanks' sacrifice.

Correct. This just proves that being WSS doesn't entail being able to beat every swordsman in a sword duel, you just cant lose. Because Mihawk canonically never beat Shanks

Sabo will surpass Dragon who is above Mihawk. Met Imu, and is Luffy and Aces brother. Of course he is more important than Mihawk🤷🏼♂️
Zoros end goal, supposedly stronger than Rocks and Garp and every swordsman. Doesn’t have enough importance in the story to put him in the top 10 in odas eyes. Koby and Sabo are more important than Mihawk LMAOOOO.

It was never a debate.“Shanks was once as POWERFUL as Mihawk”. It doesn’t say he was as skilled of a swordsman, or his swordsmanship was on par with mihawk. Nothing in this statement even has to do with either of their swordsmanship. It’s about their overall strength

-If Shanks was using a gun and a sword before losing his arm then it makes the most sense to seek out this fruit so as not to forsake either fighting style. - The fruit would also erase any reloading issues as baby five didn't have such issues.

Why would Shanks use a gun?. -The implications are there from Gold.Roger and his rival Rocks also being seen using one. -Shanks himself was designed to use a gun in the games. These games while non cannon have gotten many things right in the past such as ACOC Haki.
