it has come to my attention that a lot of you guys use the copy profile details feature, so i’m improving its look and adding some icons to make it clearer what each option does, and it also blends in with the other options nicer too! coming in the next nfb build! :D

this platform is the only social media company to suspend active end users using an extension to customize their front end experience, even when it doesn’t affect their business whatsoever. it is genuinely the dumbest thing i have ever heard.

- it for free, is more important than your violation of their terms of service. they don’t care because it doesn’t hurt them. at all. apple benefits from people hackintoshing. it promotes macos, and many people who hackintosh end up buying a mac. that’s why they don’t care.

imagine if youtube would suspend the google accounts of users who use return youtube dislike or if apple would ban the apple ids of people who jailbreak their phones or hackintosh they aren’t, because making sure you use their product and spending time essentially promoting -

it goes to show that the backbone of this whole site is based on contributions of the twitter developer community in which they seek to destroy.

and fun fact: did you know originally the twitter/x app for iOS was a third party client called “tweetie” by @lorenb who started atebits and it was bought out by twitter around 2010 to make this very app. and tweetdeck was also a third party client originally.

you can enshitify the app all you want idc but don’t go out of your way to punish users for seeking an alternative option. your alienating a large portion of your userbase this way.

why would we work for a platform that constantly suspends innocent users for using third party apps and extensions. and has made the official api so unusable to the point where you’d have to be either insanely rich or a big corporation to use them. this platform is a joke

NeoFreeBird does send a single request to Twitters API, but only with source labels enabled. We haven’t heard of this causing any issues though. The ”Twitter for” feature *should not* cause this, but I would suggest disabling it if you are worried. It’s disabled by default.

Control Panel for Twitter doesn't make any API requests on your behalf, so it doesn't do anything which would show up if they're basing the current "inauthentic behavior" banwave on patterns of API usage
