Here we go again. The state pension is not a ‘benefit’. It is a right. People pay into the NI pot for years. And by doing so they are entitled to a state pension. That was -and is - the deal.

I’m not saying immigration is not important but you get the feeling that putting ALL the emphasis on refugees, asylum seekers and hotels etc is about diverting us from focusing/mobilising on the very grave threat to our state pensions which Farage is going along with too.

Beyond belief. Imagine having to wait till 72 to get the full pension. We need to be more like the French, have big demonstrations and say a very loud ‘Non!’ to all of this.
