Following a gas leak this morning, Leavenworth Street has been reopened. Gas line repair has been completed, although remaining dirt backfill work will take place on the sidewalk and curb. Operations at UNMC and Nebraska Medical Center have not been affected.

Crews from MUD are responding to a gas leak near the Nebraska Medical Center/UNMC Omaha campus. At this time, there is no immediate safety threat to the campus, although Leavenworth Street has been closed near 35th Street so that crews can assess the leak.
