We are looking forward to so many of our Year 11 students returning to NW Sixth Form. Successful applicants will receive their enrolment forms in the post tomorrow. Well done on your GCSE results today.

At last fairness has prevailed for our A-Level students. An apology from Government is required to all students and teachers for the 5 days of anxiety and stress caused by this terrible situation. Remember we are available to help anyone with their next steps. What a relief.

We will appeal to have our A Level grades reviewed @NealeWade and I worry what next week may bring with the GCSE ‘results’

@JasonWing10 @NealeWade As an A-level student who was downgraded by 2 grades it was tough but luckily the teachers were there to support us and comfort us with offers for sitting exams and appealing. Too many of us got downgraded which is a mess and it was obvious the teachers were just as devastated

I can’t get the A Level shambles out of my head. @NealeWade , which is in a government identified Opportunity Area, had 51% of grades shifted down by one grade and 9% downgraded by two grades. Some of our brilliant and gifted students have suffered most. How can this be right?

With GCSE results looming I want to assure students that we will use centre assessed grades as a basis for entry to @NealeWade sixth form.

Another very productive session with Year 12’s getting started on their UCAS applications. Great to see them all and we look forward to next weeks session on CV’s and Personal Statements. @NWA_Prefects @N_WCareers @JasonWing10

Info for @NealeWade Y11 and Y13 re GCSEs and Post-16 qualifications. Remember too that all of your teachers want the best for you and will do all that they can to ensure fairness for you. @ActiveLearningT

This would seem a sensible and fair thing to do to support students. It might help to ease any concerns and anxieties that students are experiencing at the moment.

Notification- in light of the most recent CoVid -19 situation we have decided to cancel the Year 12 trip to Leicester today to attend the Universities and Apprenticeship fair. Students should attend lessons as normal.
