A$AP Rocky is really out here testing our patience — pun intended. After not releasing an album for around seven years, and teasing Don’t Be Dumb incessantly, Rocky has provided an update. It’s...

Well, @OpenAI just banned @ChatGPT from giving medical advice. @Doctronic is built different: peer-reviewed clinical validation, a network of licensed physicians across all 50 states, and partnerships that let us keep expanding. We're not pulling back. We're moving forward.

Let’s leave Billboard chart positions aside. let’s name 10 hip hop songs released this year that we were played everywhere - cars, radio, bbqs, clubs, gyms etc etc
@Navjosh Suddenly Billboard is the only metric 😂Taylor and the Billboard’s rule change played a big part! Anyway it’s still top streamed RELAX!

Everybody tweets for shock value. There will be folks saying "Oh Hip Hop is dying !" and then there will be "Stop the false narratives, Hip Hop is doing GREAT" .. like it's not possible to have a situation that's in the middle 🤷🏽♂️

This is not the first week. It's been there. This is just a tangible proof of it in front of us
@Navjosh How do we need hits badly when this is the first week without a hit?

Maybe it is - some of it. But anyone who's an actual A&R will know how difficult it is to convince some artists on certain directions and decisions. A lot of artists in 2025 don't even like having an A&R around them
@Navjosh Blame the A&R’s

Yes
@Navjosh Hits create tour & festival demand, sync opportunities for tv, film & commercials. Not to mention mechanical, performance & print royalties. Without hits rap would still be limited to parks & nightclubs. You need hit records to carry the genre forward and create the monetization.

I personally don’t think so because although albums have less stickiness these days due to several reasons, I don’t think there’s lack of good hip hop music out there. But a lot of folks on here don’t and will never realise the value of hits and it shows
@Navjosh If there aren’t any hits to provide a trickle down economic impact to support the genre, isn’t that the genre being in a bad place?
