Thank you @justfactsmaam!. John was a light in this world. Itโs a sad time, but joy to be had in his memory.
John Garris was one of the best humans I've ever met. Period, end sentence. Even when I hadn't seen him for a couple of years or even if we only had a chance for a 30-second conversation, he always (ALWAYS) had an encouraging word. That was John's way.

14 years ago I got into coaching. One of the first people I met was John Garris. I was a young NAIA guy, he treated me like I was pro. and how he treated people is how he is known. The world lost a great man today and I a friend. RIP John. #Rest
