I'm increasingly concerned about the mental health impact of the Cost of Living Crisis, & now the increases in mortgage interest rates. There's v-strong evidence linking debt & financial crisis to inc. suicide rts in neighbouring regions.🧵

The 3 most common barriers to engaging with mental health research were: 1. Limited research experience 2. Work commitments 3. Uncertainty on how to contribute New blog from @LHemming123 on people with lived experience getting more involved in research https://t.co/8Vql9UX7iP

Humility when getting on to training is definitely required.
#dclinpsy season and I've seen a lot of these posts that have a 'humbly bragging' tone. This is when applicants share a lot of details that alludes to how 'simple' or 'straightforward' the process of the Dclinpsy has been for them.

I’m pretty sure most DClins, if not all, have started for the new intake now. It’s been lovely to see so many positive tweets but I just wanted to send a little solidarity out to those who is hasn’t felt so positive for

1/ Having been promised an energy price freeze, millions will be shocked when hit with a 25% rise in fuel bills in October. 5 million kids risk being pushed into poverty, with charities having to stop feeding the hungry so they can help the starving. We have to act. [THREAD]

Horrible horrible article from the Daily Mail as usual. Taking time off sick is not a personal failure and if you don’t allow people annual leave during what is undoubtedly the most stressful two years of their career, they will get burnt out and go off sick anyway. Vile.
