Isn’t it strange how Muslims are constantly told their religion is backward and outdated, yet we come across arguments like this suggesting we should give Israel a pass for settler colonialism because Europeans wiped out Indigenous populations in the US, Canada, Australia, and.
So by arguing that other countries are also at their root colonial projects (Canada, the US etc), Israelis are seemingly conceding that they are not indigenous to Palestine. Not sure this is what they wanted to signal, but perhaps the pretense could no longer be sustained.
