Bandish festival at NCPA was well worth it. Day 1 - Shounak Abhisheki and Devaki Pandit, rendering compositions of Jitendra Abhisheki, followed by Sajan Mishra of the Banaras gharana. Day 2 - TM Krishna singing Muthuswami Diksitar compositions. Superb accompanying artistes👌.

Hand drawn schematic map of where in India our 102 students in the IEOR department have come from, this year. Good spread, just in this one batch and reflects the diversity that our country has to offer. Glad that IIT Bombay is able to be host to students from all over.

This week, 102 students joined our not-so-little department (39 btech, 11 phd, 15 msc, 37 mtech). Highest ever. A lot of energy and aspiration that I hope we are able to do justice to. Now some years since the time I would know all our program students by name.
