A cold front will be moving across the region today, bringing a period of rain showers along the front and gusty southwest winds. A Wind Advisory is in effect for areas northeast of the Lakes, with wind gusts of up to 50 mph expected this afternoon.

Quiet weather continues through tonight, though cloud cover and winds will increase towards Monday morning. Monday itself will feature chances for rain and gusty southwest winds, especially downwind of the lakes where gusts near 45mph will be possible at times. #NYwx

While there will be a few nuisance lake effect rain showers east-southeast of the lakes tonight, conditions will be largely dry with low temperatures running a bit below normal for the beginning of November.

Strong Canadian high pressure will provide dry and seasonably cool weather through midweek, before a strong area of low pressure moves into our area bringing wet and windy conditions for the later portion of the work week.
