This work showed that our virtual fracture clinic for children has saved over 2500 children unnecessary visits to the hospital, and saved the NHS almost £500k over 5 years. And no missed injuries. Lovely to see Norfolk highlighted on those screens!
A week ago I presented our team’s work from @NNUHPaedOrtho @NNUH at European & N American Paediatric Orthopaedic Societies meeting in Washington. V grateful for the opportunity, and still buzzing! Thanks to the whole team and especially @kareemEOrtho for making it happen.

Having surgery is stressful for anyone, but especially children and their parents. Hopefully, the thoughtfully designed surroundings will make the journey less stressful, and maybe even pleasant, for them! Thank you @nnuh!
In January, @NNUH opened two new operating rooms designed just for kids & adolescents. They’ve kept us busier than ever! This means that our children now won’t have to wait so long for surgical treatments that will improve comfort/function/lives. I’m still buzzing! Thank you!
