A potential female Anyphaena numida at Holkham yesterday. Potential first for the county. What do you think @Tone_Killick @BritishSpiders? pic taken with flash, I'll take some in natural light tomorrow. Very pale on dorsal side lacking in the dark tracheal spiracle.@arableplants

A Long-eared Owl was the sighting of the day but a lack of migrants at Overy drove me to looking at horse crap where some nail fungus, probable snowy inkcap and a Thanatus stratus were found

Another great nesting season for the Holkham Spoonbills, 41 pairs averaging 2 juveniles per pair. It's now the 15th year of nesting, and in that time some 748 juveniles have fledged. Been a privilege and a joy to have monitored them there since they began prospecting in 2004 !
