If (and this is a big IF) the Gainesville/Hughes game is played this upcoming Monday, the only fair thing to do is also push back the Semi Final game to the following Monday. Otherwise, the winner of Gainesville/Hughes is at a huge disadvantage to the winner of JaxCo/Rome.
If this true (and we believe it is), this is a HUGE break for the winner of the Rome / Jackson County game.

This is monumental and could lead to the State Legislature getting involved which is something the GHSA has tried to avoid at all cost for decades. By pushing in all their chips, this tells me the @OfficialGHSA knows this situation may make or break them as a ruling body.
The GHSA is filing an appeal of the court decision today. As a result, Friday's game between @RedElephant_FB and Langston Hughes will be postponed until a decision on the appeal is reached. The game will be rescheduled once the appeal decision has been rendered.
