According to a review article on this topic (, short chain fatty acids may improve bioavailability of oral & parenteral formulations by up to 16-fold. That's a far cry from the needed 400,000-fold increase as per my recent thread. I remain unconvinced.

@Myeloma_Doc It's mentioned! This is why I have her on the bacillus family probiotics, from Microbiome labs. Robert, the bacillus family produce short chain fatty acids. The (SCFAs) makes the "Berberine HCL" more bioavailable. I got her on some methylated B- vitamins for the altered DNA met.
