Professional time traveler. Keeping it real by making stuff up. DARKTOWN, THE LAST TOWN ON EARTH, BLIND SPOTS & 4 other books. New this year: THE RUMOR GAME.

Joined January 2012
I seem to have written another book: THE RUMOR GAME takes place in '43 in Boston--my first set near where I grew up. It stars an anti-fascist journalist who disproves war falsehoods and a rogue FBI agent spying on his church, plus the mob, Nazis, and more. Comes out 2/27/24!

Obviously I'm very late to this party (as usual) but I just read SLOW HORSES and my God, it's amazing. So incredibly well done. Mr. Herron deserves all the success, and I can't wait to read the others. (and, yeah, watch the show too, but first the books!)

In the US today, more and more people with full-time jobs are being pushed into homelessness. Low-wage workers can't afford rent. My book explores the staggering rise of America's working homeless, told through the lives of five families in Atlanta. 1/ https://t.co/4EteMk2Nih

Early autumn is really second summer in 90-degree Atlanta, where leaves fall slowly from trees and burst into flames when they hit the sidewalk.

What should I do in the Twin Cities over a summer weekend? I’ll be with an 18-year-old. Cool neighborhoods? Restaurants? Parks?

If anyone finds that the writing in my next book seems extra caffeinated, this is why. Thanks to my wonderful wife for the amazing birthday gift!

My first Peachtree Road Race! Been here 16 years but always had one excuse or another (travel, injuries, procrastination). Love this crazy city.

What’s up with this insane vertigo-inducing drone shot camera angle for the US-Uruguay game? Did Fox buy the cheap seats for its cameramen?

When one of my teams wins a title, honestly one of my favorite things is to read absolutely EVERY article about them I can find. Is this a GenX thing, a writer thing, a universal sports thing, or just a me thing?
