After reading ‘Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics’ by @pgliljedahl - here are the first graders using vertical non permanent surfaces to show their thinking. How can we use models to show our thinking in mathematics?. Thanks for the book recommendation @mathsmakesense !

Today we looked for patterns in the hundred chart. After, the Ss self differentiated by choosing to use the chart to help complete puzzles. I asked how it felt to use their knowledge of patterns to solve the puzzles, one S whispered “powerful” 🥳. @mathsmakesense @ISLuxembourg
