The library has been busy hosting literature circles in 8th grade and researchers in 7th grade.

I believe there has been an increase in student engagement & I have also started to notice more reserved students sharing their opinions in their small groups. I am also learning how much I enjoy teaching in small groups. Even w/ 12 groups times 5 classes the conversation is new

It has been interesting to observe and join in small group conversations. Some connections that I thought were obvious were not to my students and they made connections that I did not expect

I have been exploring using manipulatives in my middle school classroom to facilitate conversation and connection making. We have been using ALL the shapes and dry erase markers on the tables this month.
